Tradition- Buffalo Weddings {PEAR}

Tradition- Buffalo Weddings {PEAR}

Why aren’t Brides picking the “traditional” Brides Maids dresses? Lately a lot of the wedding will go with the dresses that are all completely different, they may be different shades of one color, they may be all the same color but different styles or even a combination of those and I really think it’s a great trend especially for outside weddings.  It does lose a little bit of formality but pending on how formal you want your wedding to be it may be a great look.  Here are some advantages:

  • Money16-0810_0783
  • To be different
  • To add contract
  • The ladies can reuse their dresses for formal events
  • Gives them personality
  • You don’t have to worry if they hate their dress

Q & A’s

Q & A’s

As event planners, it is important for us to stay current and build off of past experiences so that we can produce grand results. After the success of our Winter 2012 PEARstyle Shoot (featured in WellWed Magazine), we can only hope to inspire and create an even more successful shoot for our upcoming Summer 2013 Style Shoot! Here is some valued feedback we gathered from our models, vendors and photographer from the most recent Spring 2013 Style Shoot:

Staying chic and flawless on their big day

Staying chic and flawless on their big day

1. What was your favorite part of the process of this photo shoot?

“My favorite part was being able to finally meet and work with all the vendors and see our creative talents come together!” – Mandi Hornung, LeeAndis Accessories

“Working with the many professionals who contributed their own work, and allowing me to photograph the models with my own style, but still focusing on their work as well.” – Rich Paprocki, Rich Paprocki Photography

“Meeting a whole new group of amazing people was the highlight of the day! From the hair and makeup artists to the other models and photographers, we were all swapping stories and contact information by the end of the photo shoot. It’s amazing the talent we have here in Buffalo [New York]. Bringing all these people together from different industries and backgrounds for one big project was wonderful.” – Kathryn Przybyla, model

2. Have you ever been in a wedding shoot before?

“This was my first wedding shoot and I couldn’t have had a better time with PEAR. A lot of my friends are getting engaged now, so it’s fun to play dress up in these beautiful Made by Anatomy dresses. They were so chic and fun to wear. A wedding is such a happy event and it was fun going through the motions for this shoot. I definitely picked up a few ideas that I’ll have to hang on to for my own wedding one day.” – Kathryn Przybyla, model

“I have done a few wedding shoots so far. Each one has its own flavor. I love the variation. I joke with my friends that I make a better groom on film than I would in real life.” – Guy William Gane III, model

“No [wedding shoots], only prom shoots. However, I would love to again!”
Amy L. Reusch, model

3. What is one fun fact about yourself?

“Well, as of three years ago, I couldn’t hardly even make a bow!”
Mandi Hornung, LeeAndis Accessories

“I hate to get my photo taken, yet still get annoyed when guests try to avoid me at a wedding!”
Rich Paprocki, Rich Paprocki Photography

“I am a huge Superman geek and a huge Civil War history/uniform nerd.”
Guy William Gane III, model

Love is in the air!

Love is in the air!

So there you have it, folks! Thank you again to the wonderful and talented vendors, models and friends that contributed to our past Style Shoots. Stay tuned as we start planning for summer 2013…

xoxo

‘Tis the Season

‘Tis the Season

With Spring sprouting up around the corner, you can count on us to stay ahead of upcoming trends!

Black and white is so two-thousand-and-late. Color is making a huge splash this season with Green leading the parade. Emerald Green has been named the color of Spring 2013 AND the color of the year by Pantone Color Institute. Fellow colors that made it on Pantone‘s list this season include Dusk Blue, African Violet, Grayed Jade, Linen, Lemon Zest, Tender Shoots, Monaco Blue, Nectarine and Poppy Red.

Tender Shoots (aka a yellow-green color) is vibrant and cheerful, perfect to wear on a rainy day or paired with a more subtle green such as Grayed Jade to balance your look. If you’re going for a bolder look, go right for the money and deck yourself out or accessorize with radiant Emerald Green.

If you’re slowly adding color to your wardrobe and green is too bold for you, African Violet is a subtle touch of purple that will brighten anyone’s day. Pantone also recommends pairing it with Poppy Red (think lipstick, ladies!). Monaco Blue is another vibrant, statement color that is sure to turn heads. Nectarine and Lemon Zest are bright colors that are cheerful and scream Spring, so when paired together they give you an extra glow. In addition to Grayed Jade, Dusk Blue and Linen are this season’s neutral tones to rock.

So many colors, so little time! A word of advice: Balance your look and your wardrobe. If you plan on wearing that new, silk Emerald blouse, try pairing it with your favorite Linen pants or Grayed Jade pencil skirt.

Check back at the start of each season to stay up-to-date with PEARstyle’s tips & tricks. In the meantime, stay fabulous!
